ABOUT THE PATTERN
Congratulations - now you are going to knit a children's sweater that can last for generations! The Unn sweater for children has a clear and playful pattern that is both timeless and modern. It is knitted in 100% wool, so the garment can withstand play, outings, and everyday use - and only gets nicer and softer the more it is worn. The pattern is inspired by a beautiful wall tapestry hanging at the University Hospital in Tromsø - and that is where the name Unn comes from.

The sweater is tailored for children, with a simpler and more comfortable construction:

• Knitted from the bottom up.

• Start with ribbing before continuing in stockinette stitch with pattern according to the chart.

• When the body is finished, divide the work into front and back.

• Shoulders are sewn or knitted together.

• Sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round according to the chart - narrow enough to be practical, but with good mobility.

• Short color changes in the pattern to prevent fingers from getting caught during dressing.

• Good fit: Soft, elastic neckline that makes the sweater easy to put on and take off.
