ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Sheryl sweater is a soft and timeless sweater with a relaxed fit that suits all occasions. The sweater is knitted in a light yarn in 100% wool that gives a smooth and airy look, while still holding its shape beautifully. It has a classic round neck, wide ribbed edges, and slightly oversized sleeves that give a feminine touch without being too bulky. The sweater is just as suitable for jeans as it is over a dress, and quickly becomes one of the pieces you always reach for. Perfect for both everyday wear and relaxing weekends - a warm and stylish favorite in the wardrobe.

The sweater is knitted from the bottom up. Start with ribbing before switching to stockinette stitch. When the body is finished, divide the work into two parts, front and back. There should also be decreases on each side to shape the sleeve opening. The pattern will explain where to divide the work and how to make decreases. The front is also divided and decreased for the neck and shoulder shaping. The back is knitted almost as long as the front (including the shoulder parts) before binding off for the shoulders and knitting each shoulder separately for a few cm. This is to shape the neckline nicely. The shoulders are knitted together while decreasing - I use the three-needle bind off method, but you can also seam them at the top. There are good instructional videos for both techniques on YouTube. Pick up stitches for both the neck and sleeves as described in the pattern.
