ABOUT THE PATTERN
Davis cowl light. The little sister of Davis cowl. A lovely, luxurious cowl that feels feather- light on the body and keeps you warm. The pattern is perfect for beginners, and also as a gift for someone you love (or for yourself, of course).
You start at one end, knit garter stitch to the specified length (or the length you desire). Then you cast off for the neck opening, and cast on again for the same number of stitches with a loop cast on on the next round. Continue knitting until this section is as long as the first so that both sections are the same length before and after the decrease. Finally, pick up stitches for the neck and knit in the round in stockinette stitch. The pattern is beginner- friendly and a nice project to start your knitting journey with 🙂
